Do you accept insurance?
No, we currently do not take insurance. We operate on a private-pay model, as insurance imposes limits that can impact the quality and quantity of care. A private-pay model allows us to focus entirely on creating a therapy plan tailored to your child, without the restrictions or delays that insurance can bring. With private pay, you have flexibility in scheduling, session frequency, and setting goals that matter most to your family.
Benefits of Private-Pay Occupational Therapy:
Flexibility in Scheduling
No need to wait for insurance approvals or adhere to limited session counts. You can schedule therapy sessions at times that work best for your family.
Personalized Treatment Plans
We are not limited by insurance restrictions, allowing us to create and adjust therapy plans that are fully focused on your child’s goals and progress.
Increased Parent Involvement
Private-pay services often allow for more flexible therapy schedules, which means parents can be more actively involved in their child’s progress and development.
Quality Care without Compromise
Our priority is your child’s well-being. With private pay, we can ensure that every session is customized to address your child's specific needs, providing the best possible care.
By choosing private-pay occupational therapy at Motivate Children’s Therapy, you are investing in flexible, customized, and high-quality care for your child. Let us support your child’s growth and development on their unique path to success.
Where do occupational therapy sessions take place?
Occupational therapy sessions take place in your child's natural environment, such as at home, the playground, the library, or other locations you choose that are most beneficial for your child. We also offer community-based services, working in settings like parks or local community centers, to support real-world skills and social interactions. Since we do not have a physical clinic space, our goal is to provide therapy in the environments where your child can thrive. We’ll collaborate with you to determine the best setting during the initial consultation.
Do I need a referral from my child’s pediatrician?
In Michigan, no, a referral from your pediatrician is not required to receive private pay occupational therapy services. However, if you plan to submit superbills to your insurance, some insurance companies may request a referral to be included.
What is an initial evaluation, and how does it work?
An initial evaluation is a comprehensive assessment where we gather information about your child’s strengths, challenges, and developmental needs. The evaluation may include observing your child’s skills in action, completing questionnaires with you, and discussing any concerns you have. Based on this, we’ll develop a personalized therapy plan to meet your child’s specific needs.
How can I get in touch with Motivate Children Therapy for more details?
You can contact us via phone (call or text), email, or by filling out the interest form on our website. We’re happy to answer any questions and assist you in scheduling an initial consultation. During this call, we’ll discuss your child’s needs and arrange an evaluation.
Do you offer sibling sessions?
We offer sibling sessions for children who may benefit from social interaction and learning in a group setting. Group sessions can help children develop social skills, learn teamwork, and practice problem-solving in a supportive environment.
